I enjoyed my visit here. Thanks.
that’s so kind of you to reply in a laser speed …. thanks. I’ll plant & send you my herbs from my Singapore garden
If in a warm shady spot, no. Otherwise a piece of glass, plastic or clingfilm over them will hep keep the compost moist.
hi, your videos are awesome. i got a small doubt, after sowing the seeds do i need to cover the pot with some paper or something …. appreciate your earliest reply. Thanks
Thanks! I’m looking to start growing some basil and cilantro, this helps a lot!
Thanks. It requires a lot of planning and effort to show the plants over time, so I guess most videographers think it is too much trouble to mess with.
Great video. What I liked best is that you showed them after time. I always wish plant videos would do that, and your is the first I’ve seen. Thanks
Love your video mate, i have a couple quick questions about your herb growing
1)how often did you water the herbs during the
month after the inital watering the soil?
2)did you encounter any fungus gnats or thrips getting in the soil or on the herbs?
3)Could you use a liquid seaweed fertilizer
with the herbs instead of plain water?
4)could you make some more vids on other herbs
or even growing vegis in a pot?
cheers
bob
Great video, thanks for sharing your knowledge
thanx inspireing! bless up jah!
hemp is a strain of the cannabis family. it’s a great renewable source for oils, paper, rope, clothes, and alot more. It is not suitable for smoking but still gets the bad rep from the uninformed public.
nice positive vid
thanx herb man
After 1 months growth…the pots the herbs are in have changed color.
I tried twice to grow my own herbs, but they died.
Wow, I had no idea you could plant that many seeds in so small a pot… I only planted ONE SEED per pot, have I done it wrong? The directions say seed (one seed?) every ten inches, does that really mean a bunch of seeds every ten inches?
Ugh I dont have a green thumb but I’m trying
Cheers! As they say, you learn someting every day. I always get vexed when my seeds pop up when watering, but thanks to you I’ve learned a new trick. Thanks
awesome…thanx for taking the time to make an instructional video.
Cheers! I watched this and then grew some Basil and tomatoes !
i like growing basil in my kitchen window…it makes the kitchen smell nice, and when you’re cooking you can just snip some sprigs right off!
whats hemp?
It’s true. It’s actually quite ridiculous. Here it’s roughly $2 for a potted herb, and around $3.50 for a smaller amount of cut herbs.
thanks very much
if you want these herbs to grow faster, try exposing the seed coat with sandpaper, do NOT pat the soil down before sowing, and use subirrigation to water. to subirrigate, just poke holes in the bottom of your container and set the container in a bigger container of water. this helps not to compact the soil so that the roots have room to easily grow.
Thank you so much. I am going to do this for sure. You make it seem easy. I live on the Coast so we have nice days this time of year ans come march, they can be set outside.
I can’t see why basil should be expensive, as it is so easy to grow. Good on you for having a go!
