In this easy to ready manual, you will find herbs, a short history of them, their uses yesterday and today, also the conditions they like to grow in. It is very informative. An excellent and handy guide for the beginning herb grower.

I’ve checked this book out of the library so many times, I’m now buying my own copy! It’s an outstanding source of information tailored to herb growing in Florida. Its format makes it a quick and easy reference and the author frequently points out things that make growing a specific plant in Florida different from growing that plant in other locations, even other locations in the rest of the South. Especially helpful were the pointers concerning things like: when “full sun” might not mean “full daytime Florida sun.” I’ve already tried many of the suggestions and recommendations made in this book and have found each one to be suitable for my own gardening situation. If I could only have one Florida gardening book, this would be it!
